The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has stated that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has become a problem for him in Rivers State.
Naija News reports that Wike disclosed this during his monthly media chat in Abuja on Monday.
The former Rivers State Governor asserted that the oil-rich state has never witnessed the level of political appointments as it is currently.
According to Wike, APC is now a threat to him, adding that he relies solely on the faith his people have in him.
He said, “I have a problem as a member of PDP, you know why? What is going on now, I have never seen the level of empowerment of any state than Rivers State in terms of political appointments. It’s a problem for me as a member of PDP.
“Since the history of Rivers State, be it military or civilian, we have never had that kind of political appointment at the Federal level, never, so it’s a threat.
“Even when you are preaching, the people will ask you what are you preaching?
“APC is a threat to me, whether PDP like it or not, they had the opportunity but the only thing that is going for me now is because my people believe and still have that faith in me.”
