A renowned Nollywood actor, Hanks Anuku, has cried out for help, expressing his prolonged unemployment in recent years.
Naija News reports that despite being a legend in the industry, Anuku admits to struggling to make ends meet. In a video message circulating on social media, Anuku appeals to his fans, well-meaning Nigerians and the Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, for assistance.
A viral video earlier, speculated that the veteran Nollywood actor was working as a fuel attendant at a gas station in Delta State.
In the new trending video, however, Anuku, who admits that he has been feeding from hand to mouth, said: “I have worked for this country. I have attained the height of being a legend. But I’ve had no job for God knows how many years. And I expect that Nigerians will also know that I did it all for them.
“I just gonna ask Governor Sheriff [Oborevwori] to please send support to me. And my fans who truly love and appreciate the works I’ve done for them, if you think you truly love me, may God help you all to help me.”

Naija News recalls that there were a series of speculations a year ago about the actor facing some health challenges. Though Anuku had refuted some of the claims in a video he uploaded on his social media page.
