Super Eagles veteran striker, Ahmed Musa has vowed to make Kano Pillars Football Club one of the best sides in Africa.

Ahmed Musa made this vow following his appointment as Kano Pillars’ General Manager, according to a statement from the club’s Media and Communications Directorate on Tuesday, July 8.

The statement revealed that Musa made the pledge during a familiarisation meeting held on Monday with the club’s chairman, Alhaji Ali Umar, and other board members.

Musa, who has played for Kano Pillars in two different spells, including last season, expressed deep commitment to transforming the club’s fortunes through collaboration, discipline, and strategic leadership.

“Kano Pillars is our club and one of the most successful in Nigeria, but in recent years, the story has changed,” Musa said during the meeting.

“I want to assure everyone here that with your support and the backing of the board members, I will do everything possible to reposition the club and make it one of the finest not only in Africa but globally.

“Having played here and with the experience I gained in Europe, I believe I can contribute meaningfully to help the club achieve its full potential.”

Musa also emphasised that success would hinge on unity, professionalism, and collective effort from the club’s players, management, supporters, and stakeholders.

Naija News reports that Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State approved Musa’s appointment as part of a broader strategy to align Kano Pillars with international best practices.

Note that Kano Pillars have won the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) four times in their history.

Meanwhile, Ahmed Musa has debunked reports that he gifted vehicles to Kano Pillars’ players and officials after he was appointed the club’s general manager.

“It has come to my attention that false information is being circulated claiming that I distributed cars to players and officials following my appointment as General Manager of Kano Pillars Football Club,” Musa shared on 𝕏 earlier today, July 8. “This claim is entirely untrue…”
