Super Eagles of Nigeria and Atalanta winger, Ademola Lookman has been recognized for his outstanding performances by being included in the Serie A Team of the Month for September.
Ademola Lookman showcased his skills by scoring two goals and providing one assist in three league appearances for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side during the month.
Note that Lookman scored and assisted in Atalanta’s thrilling 3-2 victory against Fiorentina. Additionally, he contributed with an assist in La Dea’s 3-2 home loss to Como.
Due to his outstanding performance, the Nigeria international is the only player from Atalanta in the Serie A team of the month.
As Atalanta gears up to face Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk in an upcoming UEFA Champions League game, Lookman is expected to play a pivotal role for the Italian side.
Meanwhile, Super Eagles assistant captain, Moses Simon has also received recognition for his stellar performances by earning a spot in the French Ligue 1 Team of the Month for September.
Simon showcased his playmaking abilities by registering two assists in three appearances for Nantes during the month.
Impressively, the 28-year-old winger emerged as the only Nantes player to make the selection, marking a significant achievement in his career.
With an impressive rating of 7.73, Simon emerged as the fourth-highest-rated player in the team, solidifying his impact on the pitch.
Note that Simon has already emerged as Nantes’ top assist provider in the French top flight this season.
