Ademola Lookman Agrees To Inter Milan Move As €40 Million Bid Submitted To Atalanta

Transfer: Ademola Lookman Makes Arsenal's Summer Transfer Shortlist

Super Eagles of Nigeria forward Ademola Lookman is edging closer to a high-profile switch to Inter Milan after reaching a personal agreement with the Nerazzurri.

Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio confirmed the development, stating: “Inter are serious about Lookman, agreement with the player, €40m ready for Atalanta.”

Inter have now tabled a concrete €40 million offer to Atalanta as they intensify their pursuit of the 27-year-old attacker, who recorded 15 goals during the 2024-2025 season and helped Atalanta win a historic UEFA Europa League triumph two seasons ago.

Lookman’s move still hinges on Atalanta’s response. The Bergamo-based club is holding out for €50 million despite previously giving indications that Lookman would be allowed to depart this summer. Inter, firm in their valuation, have no intention of increasing their offer.

“Atalanta are asking for at least €50m, but Inter do not intend to go beyond their proposal,” Di Marzio added.

Lookman, who is under contract at Atalanta until 2027, has already signalled his desire to make the move to San Siro. His approval is understood to be key in Inter’s urgency to close the deal quickly and avoid protracted talks.

Should negotiations stall, Inter are prepared to turn their attention to alternative targets, including Fiorentina winger Nico Gonzalez.

Newly appointed Inter manager Christian Chivu has reportedly made Lookman a top priority for his attacking rebuild. Impressed by the Nigerian international’s dynamism and positional flexibility, Chivu envisions a fluid front line featuring Lookman alongside Lautaro Martínez and Marcus Thuram.
