The Senior Special Assistant to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, on Public Communications, Lere Olayinka, has challenged the FCT Senator, Ireti Kingibe, to present her evidence against his principal to relevant anti-corruption agencies in the country.
According to Olayinka, responsible and serious people don’t only say they have evidence of corruption against public officials on Television.
Naija News recalls that Senator Kingibe had levelled serious allegations against the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, accusing him of gross abuse of office, impunity, and serious land misconduct in Abuja.
Speaking in a recent interview on Arise News, Kingibe alleged that Wike reduced his son’s ₦200 million land bill to ₦2 million within 48 hours, and further revoked vast portions of institutional land without legal backing.
The senator referred to documentary evidence showing Wike’s son received large land allocations, with the minister purportedly approving a drastic reduction in fees, describing the act as “unfair, unethical and clearly illegal”
However, in response, Olayinka, in a post via 𝕏 on Friday, labelled Kingibe as an accidental Senator who is trying to use Wike’s popularity to secure another term in office.
He submitted that her plans would not work.
“Responsible and serious people don’t go on National TV to say “I have evidence of corruption by Govt officials,” they display whatever evidence they have, release them to the public and forward same to relevant anti-corruption agencies.
“That Accidental Senator, Ireti (alias Kingibe), who is impersonating by bearing the name of a man she is no longer married to should go back to the TV station and display the documents she claimed to have on the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.
“Like I have said, the Senate seat she got accidentally in 2023 won’t be retained in 2027, using Wike as a launchpad. The earlier she knows and accept this, the better for Madam Impersonator,” Olayinka wrote.
