In a recent development, the Executive Chairman of Mokwa Local Government Area, Hon. Abdullahi Jubrin Muregi, has released the names of new appointees to strategic portfolios in his Administration to enhance speedy realization of his Development Goals, in line with the vision of the State Government under His Excellency, Governor Mohammed Umar Bago, that is committed to National Productivity, Integration and Unity of Nigeria.
One of the appointments that highlights this objective of National Unity and Integration is that of Mazi Oscar David Kalu, who was designated as the Special Assistant on Social Networking to the Mokwa LGA Boss. Mazi Oscar David Kalu, hails from Abia State, South Eastern Nigeria and is a renowned Digital Media Practitioner, Civil Society Activist and Youth Development Worker , with vast experience and influence across the Federation.
Giving charge to the new appointees, Hon. Muregi stressed his determination to align with the mindset of the Governor of Niger State, who he described as a detribalized Nationalist that vigorously pursues Unity and Integration of the Country, placing high premium on Economic Growth of Nigeria, through Agriculture and Infrastructural Development.
He further posited that Mokwa is strategically located as an interstate border community, serving as linkage and major connection route between the Northern and Southern Region of the country, with people from various ethnic groups residing and trading in the LGA, hence, need for inclusiveness in Governance of the Area.
Hon. Muregi concluded by reaffirm that Niger State is safe haven and home for all Nigerians, while asserting that Governor Bago has not only done exceptionally well in maintaining peace in the State, but has further created enabling environment for individual and corporate productivity, through massive road constructions and infrastructure development, making Niger very conducive for everyone.
In his comment, Mazi Oscar David Kalu described Niger State as a second home for him, and stated that Hon. Muregi was a huge asset to both Niger State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He revealed that Hon. Muregi is one of the most prominent and highly respected Young Leaders in the Country that has meritoriously served the Youth and Civil Society Communities in diverse capacity, commanding the reputation of Bridge Builder and Peace Maker within the Constituency.
Mazi Kalu added that he viewed his new appointment as a special privilege and enablement to showcase the vast wealth creation opportunities available in Mokwa and Niger State to the People of Nigeria and beyond, especially the Youth.
