The Official Barber of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Joshua Babatunde Aiyenuro of T-Jos Signature, has successfully set a Guinness World Record (GWR) for the Longest Professional Hairdressing Marathon, completing a session that lasted more than 72 hours.

The record attempt, which drew widespread public interest and emotional support, commenced at about 11:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 29, and concluded shortly after 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at prestegeous Paradise Cruise Garden, Marabara, Nasarawa State, close to the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

Addressing supporters shortly after completing the marathon, T-JOS expressed gratitude to Jesus Christ who he revealed as source and Lord of his life. He went on to dedicate the achievement to his late parents, whom he credited for instilling strong moral values in him.
“I owe this moment to my parents. Their upbringing shaped my discipline, diligence and Persistence,” he said.

The World Record holder also revealed that he has never smoked nor consumed alcohol, advising Youths to hold unto God and be resilience. He further noted that personal discipline played a significant role in sustaining him throughout the physically demanding challenge.

Aiyenuro disclosed that the Guinness World Record attempt was the result of 15 years of preparation and mental conditioning, adding that the journey required patience, sacrifice and unwavering focus.

T-JOS achievement marks a major milestone for Nigeria in the global creative and lifestyle industry, further spotlighting the country’s growing presence in Guinness World Record feats.

Supporters and well-wishers have continued to congratulate Aiyenuro, celebrating the feat as a symbol of perseverance, discipline and national pride.

It would be recalled that Aiyenuro had earlier made a first attempt where he successfully completed 7 days non stop Barbing Marathon which was disallowed by the Management of the Guinness World Record owing to few technical glitches in final upload of record evidence.
