Reekado Banks Fires Back At Critic Who Mocked Him For Attending Church

Nigerian singer, Ayodeji Solomon, popularly known as Reekado Banks, has responded to a social media user who mocked him after he attended a church service with content creator, Toheeb Okala, also known as Kesari.

Naija News reports that the drama started when Kesari shared online that he wanted to change his lifestyle and asked followers whether he should practice Christianity or Islam.

He later documented his first visit to church, where Reekado Banks accompanied him.

Photos and videos showed both men praying, singing, and joining the service together.

After the visit, a social media user described Reekado Banks as a failed artist for going to church.

The singer reacted through a video, questioning why seeking God should be mocked.

He also demanded what better option the critic could suggest, while expressing his anger over the remark.

“Yesterday, I invited Kesari to church. And today I am seeing it everywhere on Twitter. And a comment under one of the posts was ‘when they fail at music they start to go to church’. Na your house make I come? Shey the ogunme dey your house make I subscribe?” he asked while hurling insults at the user.

Reekado Banks gained fame after signing with Mavin Records in 2014 and later leaving in 2018.

His debut album Spotlight was released in 2016, and he has won awards, including Rookie of the Year and Next Rated at The Headies.

In July 2025, he dropped his second studio album titled The Game Needs You.
