The Kogi State Command of the Nigeria Police Force has confirmed the arrest of a 23-year-old woman, Charity Williams, who was allegedly found in possession of cash, hard drugs, and firearms in the Okene Local Government Area of the state.

According to a statement issued by the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), William Aya, the arrest was carried out by operatives attached to the Okene Division following an intelligence-led raid.

Aya disclosed that the operation, which took place at a hotel in Oguda village, Okene, was based on a tip-off that a suspected criminal was hiding at the lodge.
