Transfer Updates: Jackson, Mainoo, Akanji, Isak, Tsimikas, Akanji, Others

Bayern Munich have struck an agreement with Chelsea to take Nicolas Jackson on loan in this summer transfer window, according to Bild.

The 24-year-old Senegalese forward has struggled for consistency but remains highly rated by Bayern’s hierarchy as they look to strengthen their frontline before the transfer deadline day.

In Manchester, Talksport reports that Kobbie Mainoo, one of England’s brightest midfield prospects, could consider leaving Old Trafford if the right offer arrives.

The 20-year-old has been a rare shining light in United’s midfield, but uncertainty over his long-term role is fuelling speculation about a late-window exit.

Elsewhere, The Sun claims Crystal Palace have launched a £15 million bid for Manchester City’s Swiss defender Manuel Akanji, while Gazzetta dello Sport (in Italian) reports that United striker Rasmus Højlund could be lured to Napoli with a lucrative pay rise.

For Tottenham Hotspur, frustration continues in the market. Having already missed out on three major targets, Spurs have now seen a £50m bid for Como’s 20-year-old Argentine midfielder Nico Paz rejected, according to The Mirror.

At Wolves, striker Jørgen Strand Larsen has been offered a new contract after the club turned down a £50m move from Newcastle, The Telegraph notes.

While Wolves value the 25-year-old Norway international at closer to £75m, The I reports that Strand Larsen is eager to make the switch to St. James’ Park.

Newcastle, meanwhile, are also fighting to keep hold of Sweden striker Alexander Isak, with the Daily Mail revealing that co-owner Jamie Reuben has personally tried to convince him to remain despite Liverpool’s interest.

Wolves boss Vitor Pereira is not standing still, pushing for reinforcements in defence and attack, with Girona’s Czech centre-back Ladislav Krejci among his targets (Guardian). On the outgoing front, The Athletic confirms Borussia Dortmund are closing in on Wolves forward Fábio Silva.

Meanwhile, Liverpool Echo says Sevilla are weighing a loan move for Everton defender Nathan Patterson.

The Times reports West Ham have rejected Everton’s approach for midfielder Tomáš Souček.

Teamtalk suggests Fulham are prepared to let Andreas Pereira leave this summer.

Football Italia notes Roma are set to meet Liverpool over left-back Kostas Tsimikas, with Marseille also keen.

Transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano confirms Crystal Palace have joined Aston Villa in pursuit of Toulouse teenager Jaydee Canvot.

The Times adds that Bournemouth midfielder Philip Billing is on the verge of a £5m move back to Denmark with Midtjylland.
