Nollywood actress Etinosa Idemudia has cautioned women in relationships to take early signs of violence seriously.
In a message shared with her followers on her Instagram story, she pointed out that physical aggression during dating, such as shoving, hitting, or pushing, often escalates into worse abuse in marriage.
She said that some women overlook such behaviour, but stressed that her message was directed at those who do not want to endure violence in their relationships, Naija News reports.
Etinosa urged women to value their safety and recognize warning signs before committing to marriage.
She wrote: “I don’t know who needs to hear this but if he’s putting hands on you while dating, shoving you, hitting your hand, pushing your head as ordinary boyfriend… Be rest assured it will graduate to full blown beatings when you get married. Even before the marriage sef. He will beat you. Some women don’t mind. So this message is for the women that mind.”
In other news, Etinosa Idemudia, recently opened up on why she went through cosmetic surgery.
Naija News reports that the filmmaker said her decision was influenced by years of bullying and mockery over her body.
The mother of one revealed that the constant negative remarks about her stomach pushed her to consider surgery, especially since her weight issues were tied to polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
