Opta SuperComputer Predicts 2025-2026 Premier League Title Winner

UEFA Conference League Semi-final Fixtures, Why EPL May Have Seven Teams In UCL

The Opta SuperComputer has predicted that Liverpool will retain the Premier League title this season, giving the Reds a 28.5 per cent chance of success.

The projection comes after Arne Slot’s remarkable debut campaign, in which the Dutchman guided Liverpool to the title by a 10-point margin following the departure of Jürgen Klopp. If realised, it would mark the first time in the club’s history that they have won back-to-back Premier League titles.

According to the data model, Arsenal are expected to finish second for the fourth consecutive season. The Gunners, who last lifted the league trophy in 2004, have been given a 24.3 per cent probability of ending their 20-year wait.

Manchester City are predicted to finish third, repeating their position from last season. The model gives Pep Guardiola’s side an 18.8 per cent chance of reclaiming the title, suggesting the Spaniard could go two full seasons without a Premier League crown for the first time since arriving in England in 2016.

In a projection that will disappoint supporters, Manchester United are expected to end the campaign in 12th place, matching last season’s finish. This would mean another year without European football for the Old Trafford club.

Opta’s SuperComputer bases its predictions on thousands of simulations, factoring in current form, squad strength, fixture difficulty, and historical data.

While the forecast provides statistical insight, the Premier League’s unpredictability means the outcome will ultimately be decided on the pitch.
