A former Senior Special Assistant to Governor Dikko Radda on Digital Media, Isah Miqdad, has confirmed that the state leader is in good condition following a minor accident he had on Sunday evening along Daura highway.
Naija News reported earlier that Governor Radda sustained some injuries in an accident that occurred while he was returning from Daura, while carrying out his official duties in service to the people of Katsina State.
Governor Radda was reportedly taken to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Daura for quick treatment of his wounds.
The state government has also confirmed the development, stating that the Governor is in good health and stable condition, with no serious injuries sustained.
Taking to his 𝕏 handle, Miqdad who is the Chairman Katsina Local Government Area said, “I saw oga few minutes ago and he is currently in a stable condition, undergoing medical treatment at this time. Put him in your prayers.”
In a subsequent post on social media, he confirmed that the Governor has been treated and discharged from the hospital.
“Alhamdulillah !!! His Excellency has been discharged from the hospital,” Miqdad confirmed.
Meanwhile, former Minister of Sports and interim spokesperson for the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Bolaji Abdullahi, has declared that ending banditry in Katsina State would be a top priority for the newly formed opposition coalition ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Naija News reports that Abdullahi’s remarks came in response to Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda, who dismissed the opposition coalition as a group of recycled politicians with no new ideas or credible plans for national development.
Responding to Radda’s criticism, Abdullahi, in a post on 𝕏 (formerly known as Twitter), accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) government of abandoning the fight against insecurity in the state, particularly the growing menace of banditry in Katsina.
Abdullahi said, “Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina wants to know what the coalition will do differently. Good question.
“To start with, we will end banditry in his state, a task that the APC government has long given up on.”
He stressed that restoring peace and security in Katsina and other affected states would be a key objective of the coalition.
