The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has appointed 16 referees to officiate the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super Eight competition.
The NFF has selected 16 match officials, eight referees and eight assistant referees for the NNL Super Eight playoff tournament.
Note that the competition will take place at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, Delta State, from July 5 to July 12, 2025.
The list of match officials invited for the competition includes five Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) referees: Solomon Aweng (Plateau), Bashir Adamu (Kaduna), Abubakar Zubairu (Katsina), Anthony Eze (FCT), and Faro Abdulrahman (Lagos).
The following are the NNL referees invited for the competition: Stanley Chibuiko (Enugu), Henry Osuomon (Edo), and Kalu Ezichi (Abia).
Assistant referees invited for the NNL Super Eight are Mohammed Ibrahim and Aminu Mammaga (Zamfara), Zachariah Nde (Akwa Ibom), Dahiru Muazu (Adamawa), Shittu Toheeb (Ogun), Igwe Emmanuel (Rivers), Eze Chinonso (Anambra), and Ciroma Bukar (Borno).
Meanwhile, Kano Pillars have announced an overhaul of their youth development structure.
The club has unveiled new technical and managerial teams for their Junior Pillars, U-19, U-15, and U-13 squads.
Ibrahim Musa takes over as the Technical Adviser for the Junior Pillars, while Saleh Garzali assumes the role of Head Coach.
The U-19 team will now be under the guidance of Usman Ikramatu and Ahmed Mustapha, with Habu Kamara stepping in as Team Manager.
For the U-15 category, experienced youth coach Suleiman Ibrahim Yakasai (popularly known as Lajin) will take charge.
Coach Nura Platini and Tasiu Pele have been given the responsibility to nurture raw talent at the U-13 level.
