Nigerian lawyer cum activist, Deji Adeyanju, has warned suspended Governor of Rivers State, Sim Fubara, over the reconciliation with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.
Naija News reports that President Bola Tinubu met with the two warring politicians and the leadership of the Rivers State House of Assembly on Thursday night to discuss the lingering crisis in the state.
Speaking after the closed-door meeting, Wike said that all factions had resolved to work together for the state’s progress, describing the day as one to give thanks to God.
On his part, Fubara said, “For me, it is very important that this day has come to be, what we need for the progress of Rivers State is peace and this night with the help of Mr President and the agreement of the leaders of the state, peace has returned to Rivers State We will do everything within our power to sustain it this time around.”
However, Deji, in a post on his official Facebook page, expressed pessimism that the agreement between Fubara and Wike may still hit a rock.
According to Deji, Wike is unreasonable and may still make Fubara’s life miserable.
He said, “No matter the agreement you have with Wike, he will make your life miserable. Wike is an unreasonable man.
“Fubara will not be able to sleep with two eyes closed and 2027 will be worst. Even when Wike makes a vow, his vow is as useless as the T in buffet.”
