
The Nigeria Police Force under IGP Kayode Egbetokun has charged the ranks and files of the Force in strategic obedience to the principles of Rule of Law and modern policing method.
Arising from the Ondo State Police Command Headquarters Investigations into a case of the National Youth Council of Nigeria in which the Council President, Sukubo Sara-Igbe Sukubo signed a Petition against some Council stakeholders in the State, the Police explored the Council Constitution and upheld the supremacy of the provisions of the NYCN Constitution over the actions and the inactions of individual officers and stakeholders in the matter.
The Police said it could not find any evidence to sustain any criminal allegation and consequetly absorbed the individuals.
The Police went on to assert that any dissatisfied person could consider option of civil litigation.
However, the Police urged and task Comrade ‘Sola Oladeji, been a foremost leader in NYCN from the State, to engage Council’s internal mechanisms to ensure that parties in the conflict come together for amicable resolution, while suggesting he keeps the Police informed from time to time on progress made.
Comrade Oladeji accepted the challenge before the Police authority.
Meanwhile, went contacted by the Great Green Parrot, Amb. Blessing Akinlosotu, who is part of those accused by President Sukubo, said that this was just the end of phase on, that since President Sukubo could fill such defamatory petition against him at the highest level of Security and Law Enforcement in Nigeria, that the matter was still open, and he would respond accordingly when time comes.
