Super Eagles of Nigeria star, Alex Iwobi has expressed his joy after scoring a vital brace in Fulham’s impressive 3-1 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion on Thursday night.
Alex Iwobi has set himself the goal of consistently finding the back of the net for the team. With three goals and two assists in his last four matches, Iwobi is clearly making a significant impact.
“We aimed to secure a win after our last game against Spurs, and there’s no better place to do it than at home,” Alex Iwobi shared with Amazon Prime after the match.
“I recognize that I should be contributing more goals, but I’m pleased to have helped the team tonight. This performance can certainly provide us with the confidence we need as we prepare to face Arsenal, who are currently on a strong run.”
Fulham manager, Marco Silva, praised Iwobi’s performance after his two goals were instrumental in the team’s success. Iwobi took advantage of an error from Bart Verbruggen to score early in the match, and he capped off a great evening by netting his second with just minutes remaining.
