Vice President Kashim Shettima on Saturday evening held a retreat with some aides of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the National Intelligence Agency (NIA).
Naija News reports that this was made known in a statement on X by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communications (Office of the Vice President), Stanley Nkwocha.
During the meeting, Shettima restated the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration’s commitment to delivering on its mandate to the Nigerian people.
The statement read: “Shortly after attending the wedding Fatiha of Dr. Aisha Rabiu Kwankwaso and Fahad Dahiru Mangal in Kano, Vice President Kashim Shettima has arrived at the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) in Abuja for a retreat with some presidential aides.
“Addressing participants, the Vice President elaborated on the policies, successes, and targets of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
“He emphasised the importance of teamwork, stating that “great things happen nationally when topmost leadership is goaded and supported from below.”
“The Vice President reaffirmed the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration’s commitment to delivering on its mandate to the Nigerian people.
“The retreat brings together some presidential aides to align on the administration’s strategic objectives and implementation plans.”
Recall that Shettima, alongside former President Olusegun Obasanjo, former Senate President Bukola Saraki and many others had earlier attended the wedding ceremony of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso’s daughter in Kano State.
