One Dead, Several Injured In Galilee As Hezbollah Fired 150 Missiles

A wave of cross-border attacks from southern Lebanon on Saturday resulted in the death of one Israeli and left several others injured, according to emergency services.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported detecting a total of 150 launches from southern Lebanon throughout the day.

The deceased, a 50-year-old man, was struck by shrapnel while sitting in his car in Acre, northern Israel. Emergency paramedics confirmed his death at the scene.

In addition to the fatality, another individual suffered shrapnel injuries and was evacuated to the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya in moderate condition.

The barrage included strikes aimed at the city of Haifa, which caused damage to a residential home in Kiryat Ata. Reports indicate that ten individuals in that area were hospitalized, with three suffering shrapnel injuries and the others experiencing shock from the explosions.

Further incidents occurred in Western Galilee, where damage to an open road led to four additional people being referred to the Galilee Medical Center, including one man in moderate condition due to shrapnel wounds.

The recent escalation in cross-border attacks comes amid heightened tensions, though fatalities within Israel have been relatively uncommon. The ongoing conflict continues to raise security concerns as both nations navigate the complex and volatile situation.
