Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has assured fans that he will be back in action immediately after the international break.
Victor Osimhen, 25, suffered an injury during Galatasaray’s 3-3 draw with Kasimpasa but is targeting a return for the club’s next league match against Antalyaspor on October 19.
This development comes as a huge relief to Galatasaray fans, who were initially concerned that Osimhen might be out of action until November after being diagnosed with a muscle strain.
Osimhen’s injury, which occurred just after he scored twice in the game, led to his substitution at halftime, and the club quickly announced that he had begun treatment.
The injury also ruled him out of Nigeria’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Libya. Initially, Osimhen was expected to miss six weeks of action.
When questioned about his return date by Turkish journalist Caner Isbegendiren, Osimhen responded, “After the international break”.
Since joining Galatasaray on loan from Napoli in September, Victor Osimhen has been quite impactful, contributing two goals and four assists in four matches across all competitions. His presence will be crucial as Galatasaray aims to extend their lead in the Turkish Super Lig and defend their title.
In addition to his early-season success, Osimhen recently won the Turkish Super Lig Goal of the Week award, securing 77.96% of the votes for his impressive strike against Kasimpasa.
