Pep Guardiola Withholds Information About His Future At Manchester City

The manager of Manchester City, Pep Guardiola, has chosen not to provide a definitive answer about his future at the club.

There are speculations that Guardiola may not extend his current contract with Manchester City, which is set to expire in June 2025.

When asked about his future ahead of the Premier League clash with Fulham on Saturday, Guardiola declined to make any commitments, stating, “I’m not going to talk about this subject. What will happen, will happen.”

Pep Guardiola was also asked to comment on the future of his club’s midfielder, Kevin De Bruyne, amid reports that the Belgian is considering retiring from international football.

In his response, Guardiola clarified that De Bruyne is currently injured and not ready for national team duty in October.

“He’s not ready for tomorrow. How can he go on the national team when he hasn’t played one game? I’ve never understood that”, he said.

“He didn’t tell me he’s going to retire from the national team, I don’t know his mind. But for that game, he is injured.”

Meanwhile, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has indicated that both Jurrien Timber and Ben White could potentially feature in their upcoming Premier League clash against Southampton on Saturday.

Timber was substituted at halftime during their recent Champions League victory over PSG, while White was absent from the squad due to an injury.

Arteta told reporters on Friday that they had to modify the training sessions for their players and that a decision would be made later on whether to involve Timber and White in the upcoming match. He also stated that Takehiro Tomiyasu is close to returning from injury.

“We had to modify training for our players [on Thursday]”, Mikel Arteta said.

“We’ve done the same today because of the load they had.

“There’s a decision to make this afternoon, whether to involve them or not.

“They are close, [Takehiro] Tomiyasu as well is close too. It’s good news.”
