Juventus Agree To Sell Federico Chiesa To Liverpool

Premier League club, Liverpool have reached an agreement with Juventus to acquire the services of Italian winger Federico Chiesa.

Federico Chiesa’s move to Liverpool involves a base fee of £10 million for the Italian international, with an additional £2.5 million in performance-based add-ons.

Federico Chiesa, aged 26, is expected to undergo a medical at Liverpool, and if all proceeds smoothly, he will be the first outfield player to join the side under coach Arne Slot’s leadership.

Chiesa himself expressed his readiness for this new chapter in an interview with Italian publication Sportitalia, whilst at an airport. He simply said: “Ready for this new adventure”.

Note that Chiesa played a significant role in Italy’s victorious Euro 2020 campaign, including the final match against England.

During his time at Juventus, he netted an impressive 32 goals in 131 appearances, 10 of which were scored in the previous season.

Unfortunately, under the management of newly-appointed Juventus boss Thiago Motta, Chiesa has found himself excluded from the squad in the first two matchdays of the current season.

If Chiesa completes his move to Liverpool, he will be the club’s second signing under coach Arne Slot.

Recall that earlier this month, the Premier League giants secured a deal for Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia for a fee of up to £29 million.

However, Mamardashvili will not be at the Merseyside Club until next season.
