SAYUTI HOLDS STAKEHOLDERS MEETING ON IMPROVEMENT OF REVENUE GENERATION: ENSURING ACCOUNTABILIT, DRIVING DEVELOPMENT IN AGAIE [see photos]

Executive Chairman of Agaie Local Government, Hon. Ibrahim Halilu Sayuti, held a stakeholders meeting on the improvement of revenue generation in Agaie local government, he has emphasized the need for high coordination between revenue collectors and revenue generators. He outlined key projects funded by internally generated revenue since he came on board, including:

  1. Provision of classroom chairs in Model Primary School Agaie
  2. Borehole in Etsugaie
  3. Construction of Wooden Bridge at Gunge village
  4. Medical Outreach at Agaie, where more than 1000 persons benefited.
  5. ⁠Construction of borehole at Loguma community
  6. ⁠Construction of 3 wooden bridge at Fogbe community
  7. ⁠Provision of solar light in central market Agaie
  8. ⁠Provision of over 20 submersible pumps across the 11 wards of Agaie
  9. ⁠Ongoing production of 1000 chairs, to be distributed across the primary schools in Agaie

Hon. Sayuti assured the public that as long as he holds office, he remains committed to total accountability. He sternly warned that any individual found misappropriating funds will face decisive action.

The council boss emphasized that the local government is committed to transparency and will continue to keep the public informed on how funds are being utilized and accounted for.

Jagaban Agaie called for collaboration with the traditional institution to initiate a Certificate of Occupancy for every land purchased in the new settlement of Agaie. This move aims to enhance revenue generation and formalize land ownership.

Hon. Sayuti stressed the importance of relocating the Agaie Old Market to the New Market to facilitate the new road construction. He proposed that the Agaie market should operate twice in a week, on Thursdays and Sundays, to boost economic growth and position Agaie Local Government as a business hub amid Lapai and Katcha LGA’s.

He appeals to all stakeholders to support his vision, making it a reality for the benefit of the entire community.

The stakeholders engagement had in attendance high profile dignitaries from Agaie, including; The representative of the Emir of Agaie, the NSUBEB Executive Chairman, Mal. Muhammad Baba Ibrahim ( Mayaki Agaie ) the representative of the Member Federal House of Representative, representing Agaie/Lapai Federal constituency, representative of the Member representing Agaie Niger State house of Assembly, Former Council Chairmen, Vice Chairmen, former leaders of legislative council, District heads, Village heads, representative of CAN, Inter Tribals, AECF representative, NLC Chairman Agaie branch, NUT Chairman Agaie branch among others.
