The Federal Capital Territory Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh, has disclosed why she does not engage social media influencers.
FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, said she has made herself available to all Nigerians, especially citizens living in her command regardless of status.
Adeh said she has always attended to issues brought to her attention either through phone calls or by tagging her to a post on her X (formerly Twitter) handle. She said she remained committed to engaging with citizens.
She, however, said her exception are social media influencers, whom she claimed tag her to posts with the aim of exploiting issues for engagements and pecuniary gains.
SP Adeh said, “As the FCT police spokesperson, I am accessible to everyone, regardless of their status in society.”
She advised FCT residents, “If you have any issues with our officers, please call my number or tag me in your post. I will ensure it is escalated to the appropriate authorities for action.”
On social media influencers, she described as big names who farm engagement on X, adding that it was unnecessary reacting to their posts.
“It is unnecessary to engage social media big names, who in most cases, exploit these issues for engagements and pecuniary gains,” Adeh wrote on Monday, on her X handle.
