The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has been charged by the lawmaker representing Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency, Tajudeen Yusuf, to contest in 2023 presidential election.
Yusuf in his called noted that the Peoples Democratic Party Governor would be a good candidate for the party in the forthcoming general elections.
The lawmaker made this call in a statement released in Abuja on Monday.
Yusuf in his statement said in spite of all the challenges affecting the state, Governor Wike has continued to give a positive prospect to the economy of Nigeria.
He further stated that the achievement of the PDP chieftain have qualified him for higher responsibilities in Nigeria.
The lawmaker wrote, “Wike has positively impacted all sectors of the state’s economy; revolutionising the health, agricultural and education sectors.”
