A driver who hindered armed robbers from attacking passengers of a bus heading to the Eastern part of the country from Lagos State was on Tuesday killed by the gunmen.
Naija News had earlier reported that the robbers who snatched a Sienna car on the road used it to block off some luxury buses which had departed Jibowu in Lagos State on Tuesday night and were heading for the eastern part of the country.
Eyewitnesses who spoke on the incident disclosed that the armed robbers shot a driver who refused to open the passenger cabin door for the robbers to gain access to the passenger side of the bus and he died.
The witness added that the robbers ran away from the scene of the incident when military men were approaching the scene.
The development, however, did not go down well with other driver who decided to block the busy road, leaving many stranded.
