Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, on Wednesday, expressed sadness following the death of veteran actor and broadcaster, Sadiq Daba.
Naija News had earlier reported that Daba died on Wednesday evening after battling prostate cancer.
In 2017, he was diagnosed with leukaemia and prostate cancer which prompted Nigerian multi-billionaire philanthropist, Femi Otedola to take over the medical expenses of the ailing veteran broadcaster and actor.
Atiku who took to his Twitter account on Wednesday appreciated Daba for the joy he brought into the homes of Nigerians while he was alive.
He wrote, “Sad that the cock will no longer crow at dawn. Sadiq Daba, thank you for the joy you brought into our homes. May your sins be forgiven, and your memories be a blessing.”
