An early morning fire on Tuesday destroyed shops located in a popular community market in Gubio area of Borno State.
Naija News gathered the fire destroyed all the lock-up shops at the community market.
A total of 24 lock-up shops with many storing grain, Agro chemicals, provision, and other commodities were all destroyed in the raging fire, leaving the traders counting their losses.
The caretaker chairman of Gubio local government area, Mali Bulama Mali who has since visited the destroyed market for an on-the-spot assessment, inspected the burnt shops to ascertain the level of damage.
During the visit, the local government boss promised to rebuild the destroyed market shops and assist the victims.

Robbers Have Adopted New Method To Steal People’s Cars In Lagos – LASTMA
Lagos State residents have been alerted as some desperate robbers have now adopted a new method to steal people’s cars.
Reports received by Naija News revealed that one of the suspects involved in the evil act has been arrested, and is currently being interrogated by the state police command.
It was gathered that the robbers are now using a towing van with the inscription of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) to whisk away people’s cars from their parks in the state.
LATSMA, however, has distanced itself from the act, denying the driver arrested, saying that he was impersonating the government agency.
