‘We Don’t Have A president In Aso Rock’ – Reactions As Emefiele Obtains N100m APC Presidential Form

Reactions have trailed the 2023 presidential declaration of the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele.

Naija News earlier reported that Emefiele obtained the presidential nomination and expression of interest form of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) on Friday.

It was gathered that Emefiele picked the N100 million forms from the party’s organising secretary at the International Conference Centre (ICC) in Abuja, on.

The purchase of the APC presidential form by Emefiele puts to rest speculation that he is plotting to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari.

Naija News reports that the Delta-born banker becomes the first central bank governor to seek an elective position while in office.

The CBN Governor joins a long list of APC members ready to battle it out for the ruling party’s presidential ticket.

Nigerian have taken to social media to express their views regarding the development and if it is constitutional for a sitting apex bank boss to seek elective office.
