A 24-year-old man identified as Ajibola Samsudeen has been arraigned for threatening to release his ex-girlfriend s3x tape on social media.
According to Daily Trust the defendant was sued on charges bordering on intimidation and defamation of character.
In the first information report, one Rahman Saadat, a food vendor, explained that the accused who is the ex-boyfriend of her secretary, Fausiya Abdulrasaq, threatened to release her s3x tape.
According to her: “The defendant was sending blackmailing messages to Saadat’s business email box and also threatened to deal with her if she failed to release Fausiya, his ex-girlfriend, to him.
“He also threatened to post the sex tape on the internet if they failed to cooperate with him. He was unrepentant during the investigation.”
The counsel of the defendant, Barrister Toyin Onaolapo pleaded that his client be granted bail, however, the motion was countered by the Prosecutor, Issac Yakubu.
In his ruling, Magistrate Ndakene granted the defendant bail and adjourned the matter till May 9th, 2022 for further mention.
