A former militant warlord, Josiah Oyakongha, also known as Oyimi has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to prepare to hand over to Goodluck Jonathan in the upcoming 2023 presidential election.
According to Daily Post, Oyakongha who is a former warlord Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta, MEND, stated that the only person who has the capability of solving Nigeria’s present problem is Goodluck Jonathan.
He said: “We, therefore, use this Easter celebration to urge Nigerians to continue to support Buhari’s administration for him to deliver on the promise of change we are committed to seeing, and also work for Jonathan to return to the Villa.
“We urge Buhari to work for Jonathan’s candidacy who will salvage our country and reawaken a new hope for national cohesion and development.
“President Buhari should therefore support GEJ for president for a new dawn in our country. Virtually every facet of our national life needs urgent attention and GEJ is the answer.”
Meanwhile, the Igbo socio-political organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has carpeted the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi over his claims that Nigerians would not vote for an Igbo president in 2023.
Ohanaeze in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Chief Alex Ogbonnia on Tuesday cautioned the monarch against sowing seeds of discord against the Igbo people in the race for the 2023 presidency and other general issues. Read more
