Just In: Tension In Bauchi As Police Officer Stabs Two Civilians To Death

Police Fix Date To Embark On National Warning Strike

Unrest has been reported in the Yelwa area of Bauchi metropolis, Bauchi State, after an officer of the Nigerian Police reportedly stabbed two civilians to death.

Reports obtained by Naija News on Friday confirmed that the yet to be named officer had stabbed three people in the area after which two died immediately.

Youths of the area according to Daily Post, have stormed the street, blocking the road from Elim Church junction to the Yelwa Divisional Headquarters, to protest the incident.

The angry mob according to reports were pelting stones at the police officers inside the Yelwa Police Station while officers on duty were seen also shooting into the air to disperse the protesters.

The youths also set vehicle tyres on fire on the road.

The cause of the uproar is, however, sketchy at the moment this report was given.
