A farmer, Musa Labaran has lost five of his children in a boat accident on Wednesday in Kebbi State.
The unfortunate incident occurred when a boat conveying Labaran and his five children with two others capsized around Yauri community due to heavy wind.
Labaran and the other two passengers survived the incident, unfortunately the same could not be said for his five children.
Daily post gathered that the body of the fifth child was yet to be found.
Labaran was quoted to have said: “The four bodies recovered are all of my children, three boys and a girl. The fifth one is a boy and he is yet to be found.
“The boat capsized while we were in the middle of the river. I did my best to save them but couldn’t hold on to five of them. I held on to the girl while trying to swim to the river bank but eventually lost grip of her.”
