The head coach of the Ghana men’s football team, Otto Addo has released a 27 player list to play with the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the two-legged World Cup play-off.
The Ghana Football Association in a post on its website noted that it will play the 1st leg at the Baba Yara Sports stadium on Friday, March 25, while the return leg will be played in Abuja on Tuesday, March 29, 2022.
Ghana captain, Andre Ayew did not make the list following his suspension during their last group game against Comoros in this year’s AFCON.
The statement released by Ghana’s Football Association reads, “Coach Otto Addo has named a 27 man squad for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 playoffs against Nigeria.
“The Back Stars will take on the Super Eagles in two matches scheduled for Kumasi and Abuja respectively as the search for a ticket to November’s FIFA World Cup in Qatar heats up.
“Ghana will host the 1st leg at the Baba Yara Sports stadium on Friday, March 25 before travelling to Abuja for the 2nd leg on Tuesday, March 29, 2022.”
