The National Publicity Secretary of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), Emmanuel Yawe, has died.
According to Tribune, Yawe died today in Abuja after a protracted illness.
Staff in the secretariat described him, as a dedicated and professional member of the forum.
Naija News reports that the ACF spokesperson died in his sleep on Friday.
Yawe’s daughter, Talatu Yawe told Daily Trust that her father had been in and out of hospital in the last few months, but was fine and at home throughout Thursday.
“Though he had been ill, but he was fine yesterday (Thursday). He didn’t wake up from sleep this morning (Friday),” she said.
The late Yawe is survived by his wife and four children.
