The Majority Leader of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Sanjo Adedoyin, his wife and some of his supporters were attacked by angry youths in his constituency.
The attack reportedly occurred at the Ogbomoso South Local Government meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
According to the Nation, there was an uproar when the lawmaker tried to enter the meeting which took place at Methodist Primary School, Arowomole, Ogbomoso.
A source informed the publication that the youths were infuriated as a result of his neglect of members since his emergence as a lawmaker and the majority leader.
He was also accused of locking the party’s Local Government Secretariat due to a feud between Governor Seyi Makinde and former Majority Leader of the House of Representatives, Mulikat Akande-Adeola.
Adedoyin confirmed that he was injured from the stone attack but said that his wife was not harmed.
He maintained that the reason he decided to close the Secretariat was the leadership issue that rocked the recent party primary.
