In other news, the palace of Ooni of Ife has reacted to the alleged separation of Queen Silekunola Naomi from Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja II.

Naija News reports that Queen Naomi in a post on her Instagram page on Thursday disclosed her divorce from the first-class traditional ruler.

She revealed that her decision to move on was due to irreconcilable differences and not based on the decision of the monarch to marry another queen.

However, in an interview with the Punch, Ooni’s spokesman, Moses Olafare, claimed that the social media pages of the Queen were possibly hacked and a probe of the alleged hack is being carried out.

Olafare stated that the royal couple is still together, adding that separation in marriage cannot be done by one of the parties

He said: “Separation is a two-way affair, it is not something that is announced by one party. The announcement of separation is subject to agreement by both parties.
