Some yet to be identified gunmen reportedly killed two persons in the Epe Local Government Area of Lagos State within the last week.
Reports obtained by Naija News at this hour claimed that the armed criminals first killed one Razak Bakare, who was reportedly a student of the Michael Otedola College of Primary Health Education, Lagos.
While the said student was killed on Wednesday, armed criminals suspected to be killers of Bakare reportedly attacked Poka town in Epe the following Friday and shot dead a lecturer, Ahmed Saheed.
The sad development, Naija News understands has caused unrest on the campus and as well halted the smooth running of academic activities on the campus.
While the state Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, could not respond to calls made to his mobile number as of the time this report was filed, a security guard in the institution, who reportedly spoke with The PUNCH on the condition of anonymity, confirmed the incident.
He said: “The student was killed on campus on Wednesday and the lecturer was shot dead on Friday. We have informed the police.”
In another news, suspected bandit terrorists have killed a former governorship aspirant in Zamfara State, Sagir Hamidu.
Hamidu was killed by the terrorists on Sunday when the terrorists blocked the Kaduna-Abuja Highway and opened fire on travellers.
Naija News learnt that the terrorists killed the politician around 3:30 pm close to Rijana along the busy highway.
Eyewitnesses that spoke with Daily Trust on the development stated that the former FCT Director of Protocol who was also a Zamfara State Governorship aspirant was killed in the incident.
