The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has challenged President Muhammadu Buhari to step out of his comfort zone to behold for himself the achievements he claims to have made.
Naija News reports that the opposition party made the call in a publication titled “Stop Irritating Nigerians With False Performance Claims, PDP Tells Buhari, APC,“ that was made available to newsmen on Tuesday.
PDP in the statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary Kola Ologbondiyan, called out the All Progressive Congress, APC leadership, demanding the party to respect the number one political office and stop irritating citizens with false performance claims.
The opposition party insists that the President should commence an infrastructural tour of the nation by road, to confirm if the projects that had been mentioned in the papers all exist and have been done as claimed.
Ologbondinyan said, “We challenge President Buhari to break the circle of his administration’s fairy-tale by leaving the comfort of Aso Rock and commence an infrastructural tour of the nation, by road, and see whether he can locate the projects he had been made to hype on paper as achievements.
“After the trip, President Buhari would know why he and his administration have become a butt of joke among Nigerians and why his administration has gone down in history as the worst in our nation.”
Naija News understands that no comment has been made yet by the ruling party as a reaction to PDP’s publication.
Meanwhile, APC had earlier claimed that the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, are systematically helping the ruling party to remain Nigeria’s leading political party.
The chairman, APC Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, CECPC, Governor Mai Mala Buni, made the assertion in Abuja on Monday, Naija News reports.
