The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, today, 25th September, 2021, is marking his 54th birthday.
Followers of the agitator have taken to social media platforms to wish him happy birthday despite his detention in the custody of the Department of State Services.
The IPOB leader who was extradited to Nigeria in June has been in the detention of the secret police since his return to the country.
Kanu is facing 11 charge counts of treason, treasonable felony, terrorism and illegal possession of firearms, among others.
Meanwhile, a former Governor of Imo State, Chief Achike Udenwa has called for a political solution to the separatist agitation in the South-East, adding that governors from the region cannot stop the sit-at-home order being enforced by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
He called on the government of President Muhammadu Buhari to hold a dialogue not just with South-East elders, but with the youths as well since they are the main people who enforce the actions of IPOB, not the elders.
