The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson has said that his country is ready to assist Nigeria in addressing its security concerns.
A statement issued by President Buhari’s spokesperson Femi Adesina said Boris Johnson had given this assurance to President Buhari on the sidelines of the London Conference on Education.
After careful scrutiny of the country’s security situation, the leaders agreed that the judiciary must be allowed to function properly.
Both presidents agreed that the law must be allowed to operate without interference, regardless of who is involved.
Buhari also briefed the Prime Minister on Nigeria’s power needs and the efforts being made to ensure that it produces enough food to sustain itself.
He also briefed him on the security situation in Nigeria.
For his part, Johnson said they were ready to help end the conflict. “We are available to help,” he said.
