A veteran actress in Kannywood, Zainab Booth has been declared dead.
It was gathered that the actress died in Kano State on Thursday.
The development was confirmed by an actor in the film industry, Ali Nuhu, but did not go into details.
The son of the actress, Umar Booth, disclosed that his mother died at the age of 61.
According to BBC Hausa, Zainab Booth underwent brain surgery when she was sick.
The funeral prayer of the deceased will take place at her residence, opposite Premier Hospital, Court Road, Kano, this morning.
