The African Democratic Congress (ADC) announced on Tuesday that it now has 28 senators and over 100 elected representatives across the country.
Naija News reports that the party shared this update during its National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held in Abuja.
Ralph Nwosu, the party’s founder and first National Chairman, revealed that the ADC has continued to grow in strength at both national and state levels.
He said this progress came from the party’s decision to reject financial offers aimed at influencing its direction and weakening its role as an opposition voice.
Nwosu explained that the refusal to be swayed by money has helped the party attract serious-minded politicians and build trust among voters.
According to him, the ADC now has more than 46 members in the House of Representatives and over 50 lawmakers in different state assemblies.
He said the total number of elected officials across the party has crossed 100 and is still increasing.
He also said that more young Nigerians are showing interest in the party, with its online registration platform witnessing heavy traffic across the country.
He linked the rising support to the party’s decision not to align with the idea of a one-party system.
He said “The result of our integrity is clear. Today, the ADC has 28 senators, over 46 House of Representatives members, and more than 50 lawmakers across State Assemblies. We now have over 100 elected persons and we’re still growing.”
