Nollywood actor and presidential aspirant, Yul Edochie has slammed Bola Tinubu, Abubakar Atiku and others who ignored the youths during the end police brutality protest.
The actor via his Instagram handle on Saturday, questioned the politicians on the role they played during the protest that saw thousands of Nigerian youths on the streets.
According to Yul Edochie, the old ways will no longer open new doors as the youths now know better and will no longer be deceived with the empty promises.
He wrote; ”Those old men who want to be President of our country, ask them where they were during the End Sars protest.
“When we stood up under the rain and sun against police brutality and bad governance,
“When our lives mattered most where were they?
“We shall no longer be deceived.
“Same old ways will never open new doors.”
In October, 2020, tens of thousands of young Nigerians took to the streets to protest against police brutality after a video went viral of a man allegedly being killed by the notorious Special Anti-Robbery Squad (Sars), sparking what became known as the #EndSars demonstrations.
During the demonstrations, some prominent politicians kept mum as youths across the country protested against police brutality.
