2023 Presidency: Moghalu Sends Message To Jonathan, Tells Him To Forget About Aso Rock

A former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and 2023 presidential aspirant, Prof. Kingsley Moghalu has sent a message to former President Goodluck Jonathan about his presumed interest in the 2023 presidency.

As political parties gear up for their primaries towards choosing candidates for the 2023 presidential election in Nigeria, speculations have refused to die about Jonathan possibly decamping to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and running for the 2023 presidency on the party’s platform.

Though Jonathan has on several occasions refused to confirm his interest in the 2023 race, some political watchers believe there are some negotiations going on between him and the APC and the former president may just be a surprise candidate at the end of the day.

However, amidst the speculations and political drama, Prof. Moghalu has questioned what Jonathan seems to have forgotten in Aso Rock and is so keen to return to pick up.

Taking to his Twitter account early on Wednesday morning, Moghalu told Jonathan there is no vacancy in Aso Rock as he would be the one occupying the seat of power come 2023.

The presidential aspirant on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) however promised to mail whatever Jonathan is seeking in Aso Rock back to him.

He wrote: “It seems ex-President @GEJonathan forgot something in Aso Rock he is angling to go back and pick up. He shouldn’t bother. I will find whatever it is and mail it to him when I am the tenant there from May 2023.”
