The presidential campaign posters of former Abia State Governor and Senate Chief Whip, Orji Uzor Kalu, have been spotted in major cities in the South East.
Naija News reports the posters were seen in strategic places in Umuahia, Enugu, Awka, Owerri, and Abakaliki all in the eastern region.
Speaking to reporters in Umuahia, on Monday, the National President of the Association of Arewa Community in the South East, Alhaji Mohammed Umaru, said the group were behind the printing and pasting of the posters.
The group expressed their readiness to see that Orji Kalu emerge as the flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 presidential election.
He said the North, West, and South-South have all ruled the nation as executive president, saying that it is the time to support an Igbo presidency.
Umaru stated that it was important to support the Igbo presidency in order to address the secession agitation in the South East.
He stated that the group is a non-political organisation, made up of members from all the northern states living in the South-East geo-political zone.
