A senator of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Samuel Anyanwu, has said the need to flush out the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in the 2023 presidential election is not negotiable.
The former lawmaker who represented Imo East in the 8th National Assembly said President Muhammadu Buhari led government has failed woefully in securing the nation and care less about the life of citizens.
Naija News reports that Anyanwu stated this on Sunday while urging Nigerians head of the 2023 presidential election to take their destinies into their hands.
According to him, there were ongoing plans to salvage Nigeria from the ravaging insecurity when the PDP takes over in 2023.
Anyanwu maintained that since the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is doing nothing to reassure Nigerians of adequate security, such callous mistake has been identified by the PDP for urgent correction with a view to restoring public sanity and confidence.
The South East Consensus candidate for the position of National Secretary of PDP, stated this in Owerri, Imo State capital while reacting to the killing of two traditional rulers in the Njaba local government area of Imo State.
Anyanwu lamented the gruesome killing of innocent Nigerians in the South East region, describing it as senseless and barbaric.
He said: “No right-thinking human being of Igbo extraction no matter the level of insanity, disagreement or hatred can raise a gun or any object against traditional rulers who are highly revered as custodians of culture, norms and tradition
“When things that are unusual begin to happen in our climes, it, therefore, means that things have fallen apart and the centre cannot hold.
”The summary of the whole thing is that APC has failed Nigerians and that Nigerians need to flush it out is not negotiable. We must demonstrate and express our grievances against them with our vote in 2023,” Anyanwu reiterated.
