Nollywood actor cum politician Desmond Elliot has come under fire after publicly declaring support for Presidential hopeful and the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
This comes after the actor took to his Instagram page to share a photo of Tinubu and business mogul Femi Otedola at an event.
Desmond then went further to express optimism about the APC leader, saying he is ready for the job and they are standing on his mandate.
He wrote: “Ready for the job .. on your mandate we shall stand.”
Reacting to the development, Nigerians on social media slammed the actor turn politician Desmond Elliot for supporting Tinubu, considering how he betrayed the youths during the EndSars protest.
Others noted that they were not surprised as it seems as though the celebrities are now only fighting for their pocket.
