The co-convener of the ‘Bring Back Our Girls’ movement, Aisha Yesufu, has hinted at a new political party ahead of the 2023 presidential election.
The activist noted that the leading political parties, the All Progressives Congress, and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, would not field competent candidates in the forthcoming elections.
According to Yesufu, there are people with competence, character and capacity in the two leading parties, power brokers will never allow them to succeed.
“APC and PDP have people with competence, character and capacity to lead Nigeria right but they will never be allowed by the power brokers who want those they can control and not those that can do the right thing.
“It is in our interest to have a party that will encourage competence,” she said.
